Wyndham active transport network implementation

Project outcomes

Trafficworks undertook this project in collaboration with Hansen Partnership. This project involved the identification of gaps in the active transport network through an audit of the existing facilities, Movement and Place classifications and a review of state and local strategic documents. The ultimate active transport network was then mapped in GIS and each gap identified as a separate project. The projects were then prioritised based on a set list of criteria and using a Multi Criteria Assessment (MCA). Through the project, several stakeholder workshops were undertaken to ensure all existing issues are considered.

Following this, the projects were programmed into a 10-year capital works plan, and the top 5 projects were identified for further investigation and design.
